Responsible gambling at M-Bet Tanzania

Gambling is entertainment, not a way to make money or recover losses. M-Bet Tanzania holds an active Gaming Board of Tanzania licence and is legally required under the Gaming Act 2003 to provide player protection tools to every registered player. All tools listed on this page are free, self-service and available directly in your account settings without contacting support.

Player protection tools

All six tools are accessible from Settings → Responsible Gambling inside your M-Bet account. Deposit limit reductions apply immediately; increases require a mandatory 24-hour waiting period under GBT rules.

Deposit limits

Set a daily, weekly or monthly cap on deposits. Once reached, further deposits are blocked until the period resets.

Set a maximum session length from 30 minutes to 8 hours. You are automatically logged out when the limit is reached.

Receive a pop-up at configurable intervals (every 15 minutes to 2 hours) showing your session duration and net result.

Cooling-off period

Block betting and casino access for 24 hours, 7 days or 30 days without closing your account. Withdrawal remains available during the period.

Self-exclusion

Exclude yourself for 30 days, 6 months, 1 year or permanently. M-Bet cross-references all exclusions against the GBT national exclusion register. Permanent exclusion cannot be reversed.

Account closure

Email support@mbet-tanzania.com to permanently close your account. Any balance is paid out to your mobile money wallet within 24 hours of a verified request.

Free, confidential support for problem gambling is available through GamCare (gamcare.org.uk, English, 24 hours) and the GBT Player Protection Programme (gamingboard.go.tz, English and Swahili). The GBT programme also handles multi-operator self-exclusion across all licensed Tanzania bookmakers simultaneously.
