Privacy Policy – M-Bet Tanzania

This policy explains what personal data M-Bet Tanzania collects, why we collect it, how we use it and what rights you have over it. M-Bet is incorporated under the laws of Tanzania and licensed by the Gaming Board of Tanzania. This policy applies to all players registered on mbet-tanzania.com and users of the M-Bet Android app. Last updated: March 2026.

Data we collect and why

We collect only the data required to operate a licensed gambling platform, verify player identity, process payments and meet GBT regulatory obligations. We do not sell personal data to third parties and do not use it for purposes beyond those listed below.

Identity data

Full name, date of birth, nationality and identity document number. Collected at registration and verified before the first withdrawal. Required by GBT for age verification and anti-money laundering compliance.

Contact data

Mobile phone number and email address. Used to send account confirmations, withdrawal notifications, responsible gambling alerts and support responses. You can opt out of marketing communications at any time in account settings.

Payment data

Mobile money wallet identifiers (M-Pesa, Tigo Pesa, Airtel Money, HaloPesa) and card details where applicable. Payment credentials are processed by certified payment providers and are never stored in full on M-Bet servers.

Transaction and betting data

Deposit and withdrawal history, bet history, game session records and bonus usage. Retained for a minimum of 5 years as required by GBT licence conditions. Used for dispute resolution, responsible gambling monitoring and regulatory reporting.

Device and technical data

IP address, device type, operating system, browser type and session timestamps. Used to detect fraud, prevent multi-accounting and ensure platform security. Not shared with advertisers.

Location data

Approximate location derived from IP address. Used to verify that you are accessing the platform from Tanzania and to block access from restricted jurisdictions. Precise GPS location is not collected.

How we share and store your data

M-Bet does not sell or rent personal data. We share data only with the categories of recipients listed below, and only to the minimum extent necessary for the stated purpose.

All data is stored on servers located within the East African region. Data is retained for a minimum of 5 years after account closure as required by GBT. After the retention period, data is securely deleted. Access to personal data is restricted to M-Bet staff who require it to perform their job function and is protected by role-based access controls and encryption at rest.
